SACRAMENTO, CA — Today, the California Democratic Party (CADEM), the nation’s largest statewide Democratic Party representing 10 million Democrats, launched its Voter Protection Hotline. CADEM recruits hundreds of trained volunteer attorneys, poll monitors, and hotline operators to field potential voter disenfranchisement issues during election season. As the surge of MAGA misinformation continues, it is more important than ever to provide voters with the resources they need to make their voices heard in November.
“Our Voter Protection Hotline is vital to ensure that every voter feels safe and supported in exercising their right to vote,” said Rusty Hicks, Chair of CADEM. “By providing crucial resources and assistance, we’re breaking down barriers and empowering Californians to make their voices heard at the ballot box. We know the path to winning back the House of Representatives runs through California, so we remain committed to protecting our democracy and ensuring that every eligible voter can participate.”
While Trump and MAGA Republicans are trying to undo our nation’s progress and strip away our freedoms, CADEM is taking a stand and ramping up efforts to counteract voter disenfranchisement to make sure voting is accessible to ALL California voters.
“Our Voter Protection Hotline has already fielded hundreds of calls from voters needing support,” said Emma Harper, CADEM Voter Protection Hotline Director. “We’re committed to breaking down barriers and equipping every eligible voter with the resources they need to cast their vote.”
Since 1992, CADEM has worked through its voter protection program to protect the rights of voters across the state. If California voters have questions or encounter issues related to elections and voting, our CADEM Voter Protection Hotline Operators will take calls at 1-877-321-8683(VOTE) until the polls close on Election Day!
