SACRAMENTO, CA – California Democratic Party issued the following statement regarding endorsements of candidates in local jurisdictions along with recent information that has been disclosed in the local mayoral race in the City of Vallejo:
“The recent disclosures are deeply disturbing and do not align with our values as California Democrats or of the California Democratic Party. The endorsement of candidates in local jurisdictions in Solano County – including those in the City of Vallejo – are under the purview of the Solano Democratic County Central Committee – not the California Democratic Party. However, we are engaged with the SDCCC leadership and membership as they take the steps necessary to reconsider their endorsement for Mayor in the City of Vallejo.”
