Position Summary

Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria’s 2024 re-election campaign a Deputy Field Director to support and manage teams of Community Organizers for Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria’s reelection campaign. The Deputy Field Director will work closely with the Field Director to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day activities and directly oversee the performance and management of their assigned team. Ideal candidates are proactive, possess management experience, are energetic, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a team environment.

As the Deputy Field Director, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and productive work environment. You will be directly responsible for your team, reporting to the Field Director, and ensuring that your team’s objectives align with the overall campaign strategy.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management: Directly manage and support a team of Community Organizers, fostering a culture of success and accountability.

Training and Skills Development: Coordinate with the Field Director to implement training sessions and ensure ongoing skills development for team members.

Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze data on team performance, providing reports to the Field Director and implementing strategies for improvement.

Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day management and supervision of staff, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Proactive Engagement: Take a proactive approach to support and engage with team members, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.

Administrative Responsibilities: Perform administrative duties including scheduling, maintaining timesheets, and assisting the Field Director with additional tasks as needed.

Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the development and refinement of campaign strategies, ensuring that team activities align with overall objectives.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in management and team leadership, preferably within a campaign or community organizing context
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in data analysis and performance tracking
  • Commitment to the campaign’s goals and a passion for grassroots organizing
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred

Pay & Benefits

$6,000 – $7,000 per month
