Position Summary
Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria’s 2024 re-election campaign is seeking a Field Director to lead teams of Community Organizers for Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria’s reelection campaign. Field Directors are responsible for the day-to-day management of Community Organizers conducting outreach in person, by phone, or online. Ideal candidates are self starters, have management experience, are energetic, strong communications, and thrive in a team environment.
A Director’s duties include day-to-day management and supervision of Deputy Field Directors and Organizers, training and on-going skills development, data analysis, scheduling, and contributing to the development of campaign strategies.
Responsibilities
Training and on-going skills development of team members.
Tracking and analyzing data on team performance.
Day-to-day management and supervision of staff.
Take a -proactive approach to support and engage with team members.
Administrative duties such as scheduling and maintaining timesheets.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of management experience
- At least 1 year of organizing or campaign experience (community, labor, political and/or legislative issue advocacy)
- Ability to travel
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Team-player with superior interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Experience engaging, leading and motivating others
- Ability to multitask, juggle multiple responsibilities, and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated ability to follow-through on assignments
- Self-starter with the ability to work remotely, independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to report work product accurately using metrics, written and visual mediums
- Passion for politics and community engagement
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred

$7,000 – $8,000 per month
