Description
House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar is seeking candidates for a National Finance Assistant position based in Southern California. The National Finance Assistant will work in coordination with the National Finance Director to build out a robust California and national fundraising operation.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research prospective campaign donors
- Collaborate with finance director and scheduling team on planning and executing fundraising events
- Coordinate candidate call time, including prep, follow-up, and data tracking
- Staff candidate at fundraising events and meetings
- Assist with managing donor outreach and event planning
- Assist with database management
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Team player who takes a collaborative and thoughtful approach to working with others
- Eagerness to learn more about campaign finance and grow professional skill set over the course of the campaign
- Proficiency with Google Workspaces, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills:
- Prior campaign finance experience (including internships)
- Familiarity with NGP 8, ActBlue, and/or other Democratic fundraising platforms
- Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools
Reports to: National Finance Director
Location: Redlands, California
Compensation: $55,000-$65,000/year
