CADEM Announces May 2023 State Convention
“Don’t Agonize, ORGANIZE!”
LOS ANGELES, CA – The California Democratic Party (CADEM) today announced that Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi will keynote the May 2023 State Convention which will be held May 25 – 28, 2023 in Los Angeles. In honor of Nancy Pelosi’s dedication to service, CADEM’s convention theme will focus on the grassroots power of California Democrats: Don’t Agonize, ORGANIZE!
“CADEM is proud to come together to win in 2024 and beyond. While we organize for all the fights ahead, we’ll also celebrate the legacy of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi,” stated Rusty Hicks, Chair of CADEM. “From defending the Constitution of the United States, to leading the American people out of the global pandemic, to spearheading some of the most impactful environmental legislation in history, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi continues to pave the way for Democratic leaders,” continued Hicks.
Moreover, during the Convention, CADEM will be welcoming 2023-25 ADEM delegates and 2023-25 Democratic State Central Committee Delegates who play a vital role in building a brighter future for California while organizing to harness the power of Democrats from across the state.
“Over the last few years, CADEM launched an effort to create our first-ever, robust, year-round grassroots organizing operation – the largest in California Democratic Party history,” Hicks stated. “As part of our convention theme, CADEM will be focusing on the work to support people-powered leaders while building upon the victories and lessons learned in 2022.”
