Our objective is to empower Democratic Central Committees and eligible Democratic organizations with useful tools to maximize their efforts for not just one election cycle, but over the course of many election cycles. We know we have the hardest working activists in California. Now we can combine their hard work with comprehensive and current voter files, membership lists, volunteer lists and the “know-how” to achieve an unprecedented level of success.
With every election cycle that passes, we will strengthen our Party and elect more Democrats. See our tools below.
PDI (Political Data Intelligence)
• What is PDI?
PDI (Political Data Intelligence) is an all-in-one provider of voter file data and campaign software tools for voter contact and analysis. The platform has robust built-in canvassing, texting, phone banking, and emailing tools to make voter outreach and communications simple and effective.
• Who is PDI available to?
The California Democratic Party makes this platform available to the state’s County Democratic Central Committees, their chartered clubs, and other chartered organizations, to advocate on behalf of endorsed Democratic candidates and issues. Our contract only covers access for the above – candidates and campaigns themselves seeking PDI services will have to sign their own contracts.
• How do I get access to PDI?
If you are a club or chartered organization, contact your county chair. If you are the chair of a Democratic County Central Committee, contact [email protected].
• What are the costs to PDI?
We offer access to PDI free of charge, which includes the free use of canvassing, phone banking, and analytical tools, and the exporting of voter data for purposes such as loading into phone dialer / texting platforms or sending mail.
Additional charges apply for use of PDI-texting and emailing, as well as certain advanced phone banking features. These costs must be paid for by the central committee, club, or chartered organization making use of them.
• How much does texting cost through PDI?
1.6 cents ($0.016) per SMS segment or 3.6 cents ($0.036) per MMS.
An SMS segment is roughly equal to 160 characters. MMS are messages which contain images or videos in addition to text.
In addition there is a $95 yearly registration fee for 10DLC compliance which is common to all texting programs.
• How much does emailing cost through PDI?
The cost is one cent ($.01) per email that is sent.
• How do I get training for PDI?
PDI offers written and video training sessions, as well as live sessions during campaign season. See PDI’s Quick Guide for tips on where to get started and to view their tutorial videos and check here for updates to their live training schedule. Inquiries about other training opportunities can be directed to [email protected].
When capacity allows, CADEM also offers its own training sessions for county central committees and clubs. Contact [email protected] to ask about our schedule.

Organizer: This account level is reserved for county committees and CADEM caucuses.
Trusted Host: This permission is for Democratic clubs, partner organizations or super volunteers who will be hosting events regularly.
