Ballots will start arriving in your mailbox from May 4, 2026, for the California June 2, 2026, Primary. All active registered voters in California will receive a ballot in the mail for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.
If you’re already registered to vote, be sure to check that all your information is correct by visiting voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
If you’re not registered yet or need to update your registration because you’ve moved or changed your name, don’t worry! You can easily register online at registertovote.ca.gov or pick up a registration form at the DMV, post office, library, or your county elections office. The last day to register to vote for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election is May 18, 2026. If you’re registered by May 18, 2026, you’ll receive your ballot in the mail—making it simple to participate in the election! You can also register on Election Day, which is Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at your elections office or polling place.
